NEW... Colonic Irrigation/Colon Hydrotherapy

If you don't have a bowel movement at least once per day then your body will be storing toxins within the large intestine. If this toxic waste is left to build up the result can cause bloating, indigestion, IBS, fatigue and even skin problems. Colonic hydrotherapy is the process of irrigating the colon with water to help rehydrate and break down the dried matter so it can be loosened and released from the body. An oxygen and water mix is used purely to soften the stool and allow movement, but the process also helps the muscles within the colon to relax and contract which in turn can help improve the function, once the dried matter has been removed...

Focus On... Weight Management

Christmas is one of the toughest times when you're watching your weight. It's common to overeat during the holidays but if you're serious about losing weight or maintaining it there are some tips to help you get through the silly season.

1. Aim to always have at least a third of your plate filled with salad or veggies.
2. Allow yourself one treat per day. You don't want to feel as though you're missing out, but limit yourself to either a slice of cake, a few pieces of chocolate, or a glass of wine, not one of each.
3. Limit your alcohol intake to two glasses per day. One glass of champagne contains around 100 calories.
4. Fruit can make a great brekkie, but it will keep you full for longer if you eat some protein as well. Mix it up by adding a handful of cashew nuts to some peaches, a spoonful of low-fat yoghurt over a mango or a slice of ham with some fresh pineapple.
5. Christmas is the perfect time to go for lots of walks. You can burn off 280 calories by walking for one hour - that's almost one chicken salad sandwich!
6. If it's hot outside then hit the beach, activities like boogie boarding, surfing and ocean swimming will burn off heaps of calories and you'll be having fun too!
7. Make a low-fat healthy dip by blending a tin of chick peas with the juice of one lime and a handful of fresh basil. It's delicious and contains much less fat than many shop bought dips.
8. Reward yourself with seasonal fruit like mangoes and cherries, they're low in fat and will help give you energy and essential nutrients to keep the smile on your face next time you hit the scales!
